MacroVolt ("we", "us", "our", or "the app") is a macro market analysis application for iOS and Android. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, when it is shared, how long it is kept, and the controls available to you.

      Summary. MacroVolt does not require a traditional username or email account to open. The app does create a stable anonymous app identity to support subscriptions, alerts, and account deletion. We do not sell personal data. Free-tier users may see non-personalised ads.

1.1 Anonymous App Identity

MacroVolt uses Firebase Anonymous Authentication to create a stable internal user identifier for the app install. This lets us attach alerts, entitlements, and account deletion requests to the correct app identity without requiring a traditional sign-up flow.

1.2 Push Tokens

If you enable alerts, your device creates a push token (APNs on iOS, FCM on Android). We store this token to deliver notifications you choose to receive. The token is not used for advertising or cross-app tracking.

1.3 Subscription and Purchase Verification Data

If you buy, restore, or manage a subscription, Apple or Google confirms the transaction to our backend. We store the resulting entitlement state (Free, Starter, Pro, or Ultimate), platform, and the minimum verification data required to maintain access. We do not receive your payment card number, billing address, or store account credentials.

1.4 Product Interaction Analytics

MacroVolt records limited product events such as paywall views, purchase attempts, purchase completions, tier changes, review prompts, and notification actions. We use these events to improve product quality, feature adoption, and reliability.

1.5 Crash and Performance Data

Firebase Crashlytics and Firebase Performance may collect device model, OS version, app version, stack traces, timestamps, network timings, and performance traces so we can diagnose failures and improve app stability.

1.6 Advertising Data

Free-tier users may see non-personalised ads through Google AdMob. These ads are not based on cross-app behavioural tracking. Ad delivery may involve device identifiers, coarse or approximate location signals, IP-based routing, and basic ad interaction signals for fraud prevention, reporting, analytics, and non-personalised ad serving. MacroVolt does not request precise GPS location.

1.7 Local-Only Data

Settings, favourites, cached scores, review-prompt counters, and similar app state are stored locally on your device. Some of these values may sync indirectly when needed for app functionality, such as push preferences or subscription state.

2. How We Use Information

Provide the core MacroVolt experience across 21 instruments and tier-gated features.
Deliver alerts, calendar reminders, and release-related notifications you enable.
Verify subscriptions and unlock Starter, Pro, and Ultimate features.
Measure crashes, performance, and product usage so we can improve the app.
Serve non-personalised ads to free-tier users.
Process account deletion requests and honor data rights requests.

3. Legal Bases (GDPR / UK GDPR)

Contract / service delivery: delivering alerts, syncing entitlements, and maintaining your app state.
Legitimate interests: app stability, fraud prevention, diagnostics, and service improvement.
Consent: push notifications and region-specific advertising consent flows where required.

4. Third Parties and Sharing

We use the following service providers to operate MacroVolt:

Google Firebase for authentication, Firestore, Cloud Functions, Crashlytics, Analytics, Performance, Messaging, and Remote Config.
Google AdMob for non-personalised ads on the free tier.
Apple App Store / Google Play for subscription billing and subscription management.

We do not sell your personal data and do not use your data for cross-app tracking.

5. Retention

Anonymous app identity: retained while needed to operate the service or until deleted.
Push tokens: retained while valid or until alerts are disabled, the app is deleted, or the account is deleted.
Entitlement state: retained while needed to validate paid access and handle restores, refunds, and account deletion.
Crash and performance data: retained according to Firebase retention settings.
Local device data: retained until cleared, deleted in-app, or removed when the app is uninstalled.

6. Account Deletion and Data Rights

You can request deletion of your MacroVolt account data in either of these ways:

Inside the app: Settings > Delete Account & Data
Online: visit Delete Account

Deleting your account removes MacroVolt-managed app data tied to your anonymous app identity. Store subscriptions are managed separately by Apple or Google and must be cancelled through the store if you do not want future billing.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or export your data. To exercise these rights, contact us through the support options on our Support page.

8. Age Requirement and Children's Privacy

MacroVolt is intended for users age 18 and older and is not directed to children. The app requires you to confirm that you are 18 or older before first use. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal data, contact us at 3xdey2ns@gmail.com and we will delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date at the top of this page.
