MacroVolt is a macro market analysis application for iOS and Android operated by MACRO RESEARCH TECHNOLOGIES LTD ("we", "us", "our"), the data controller registered in England and Wales under company number 17301851. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, when it is shared, how long it is kept, and the controls available to you.

MacroVolt uses Firebase Anonymous Authentication to create a stable internal user identifier for the app install. This lets us attach alerts, entitlements, and account deletion requests to the correct app identity without requiring a traditional sign-up flow.
If you enable alerts, your device creates a push token (APNs on iOS, FCM on Android). We store this token to deliver notifications you choose to receive. The token is not used for advertising or cross-app tracking.
If you buy, restore, or manage a subscription, Apple or Google confirms the transaction to our backend. We store the resulting entitlement state (Free, Starter, Pro, or Ultimate), platform, and the minimum verification data required to maintain access. We do not receive your payment card number, billing address, or store account credentials.
Google Analytics for Firebase may process app-instance identifiers, device and app information, and product events such as first opens, paywall views, purchase attempts, trial starts, purchase completions, tier changes, review prompts and notification actions. We use these events to improve the product and measure acquisition and subscription funnels, including through linked Google Ads, subject to applicable consent.
Firebase Crashlytics and Firebase Performance may collect device model, OS version, app version, stack traces, timestamps, network timings, and performance traces so we can diagnose failures and improve app stability.
Free-tier users may see non-personalised ads through Google AdMob. These ads are not based on cross-app behavioural tracking. Ad delivery may involve device identifiers, coarse or approximate location signals, IP-based routing, and basic ad interaction signals for fraud prevention, reporting, analytics, and non-personalised ad serving. MacroVolt does not request precise GPS location.
Settings, favourites, cached scores, review-prompt counters, and similar app state are stored locally on your device. Some of these values may sync indirectly when needed for app functionality, such as push preferences or subscription state.
Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) provides choices to consent, not consent, or manage individual purposes and partners. The message lists partners' registered purposes; MacroVolt continues to request non-personalised ads regardless of an acceptance choice. If you refuse consent, only limited ads may be available, or no ads may be shown, depending on applicable permissions and SDK support.
In app versions supporting UMP consent mode, Google Analytics for Firebase and linked Google Ads interpret your choices for analytics storage, ad storage, ad user data and ad personalisation. The device-storage choice (IAB TCF Purpose 1) is also used for analytics storage. Where supported, denied-consent measurement may use limited signals without consent-based storage; refusal is not a promise that all network requests stop.
You can revisit the available consent form in Settings > Ad Privacy Choices and withdraw or change your choices. An app update may be needed for the latest controls. Withdrawal does not cancel a store subscription or remove access to paid features. See how Google uses information from apps that use its services.
Depending on your state and the law that applies, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or obtain a copy of personal information, and to opt out of its sale, sharing or use for targeted advertising. Advertising disclosures can fall within broad legal definitions of sale or sharing even without a monetary payment. The data categories, purposes and recipients are described in this policy.
In supported US states, open Settings > Ad Privacy Choices in the app to access Google's US privacy message and choose "Don't sell or share my data". An app update may be needed. UMP records the choice using the IAB Global Privacy Platform (GPP), which the Google Mobile Ads SDK reads for applicable advertising restrictions. MacroVolt continues to request non-personalised ads regardless of your choice. This advertising control does not by itself delete app data, cancel a subscription or switch off every analytics or service request.
For other privacy requests, an authorised-agent request, or to appeal our response where applicable, email support@macroresearchtechnologies.co.uk. We may need proportionate information to verify a request and locate your anonymous app record. Exercising privacy rights does not remove access to paid features.
We use the following service providers to operate MacroVolt:
We do not sell your personal data for money or request cross-app tracking permission. US privacy laws may define advertising-related sale or sharing more broadly, as explained in Section 3.2. Google services and ad partners process data for the purposes described here and in the consent message, subject to consent and platform permissions. See the Google Privacy Policy.
You can request deletion of your MacroVolt account data in either of these ways:
Deleting your account removes MacroVolt-managed app data tied to your anonymous app identity. Store subscriptions are managed separately by Apple or Google and must be cancelled through the store if you do not want future billing.
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or export your data. To exercise these rights, contact us through the support options on our Support page.
MacroVolt is intended for users age 18 and older and is not directed to children. The app requires you to confirm that you are 18 or older before first use. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal data, contact us at support@macroresearchtechnologies.co.uk and we will delete it.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date at the top of this page.
